Welcome to  Concord Missionary Baptist Church of Omaha, Texas
Concord Missionary Baptist Church
Concord  is a country church in the truest sense. Many members are descendants from charter members of the church. The present building was
originally called The Concord Meeting House.

This site includes a history of the church, the adjoining cemetery, and a list of Pastors that served the church, as well as the current events for
the month, and any future events Concord has planned. There are selected devotion's, sermons, and other information we feel maybe useful. We
pray that as you visit our web site that you truly receive a blessing.

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou has established the earth, and it abideth.

Message from Brother Nolan:

The Word of God is very clear on what people need. They need JESUS. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger:
and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.”
As I look at the facilities of Concord Missionary Baptist Church, I look with great godly pride in how we appear and what we have on the grounds of
our church. The paved parking area, three flag poles with flags waving that I am so proud to view, prayer garden, educational building, youth building
and our auditorium are all very valuable assets to our church and ministry. Are there complainers with what we have done? I can tell you that there
have been complaints with what we have built and the money spent. Yet, as pastor of this church, I feel so confident in how I have led our church in
these endeavors that I truly believe that God has given a big okay in all that has been done. Do I have any regrets? Yes. I wish that we would have built
bigger rooms and more rooms when it comes to Sunday school facilities.
There will always be those who say, “Why didn’t they take that money and feed the poor?” My answer to that is very clear and simple--people need
Jesus. The social gospel that is being pushed in many churches today promotes the idea that all men need is food. The truth of the matter is, if I had
enough money to purchase everybody on this earth a snack, in a few hours, they would all be hungry again. There is nothing wrong with feeding the
poor. We need to feed the poor and reach out to them with God’s love. But, the social gospel puts an emphasis on what is temporary. The true gospel
puts an emphasis on what is eternal. People need more that soup and soap, they need a good dose of Jesus Christ and His saving grace.
What can larger buildings do IF built for the glory of God? We can bring in more people which will bring in more money for us to reach more people
with the message of Jesus Christ.
We have now entered a New Year-- 2012. What can we do during this New Year? Go tell someone about Jesus Christ. If they come and join our
fellowship at Concord, we may have to build even larger facilities for HIS HONOR AND GLORY and not for our own bragging rights.

IT IS GREAT TO BE YOUR PASTOR.
IN HIM,
