Ladies Book Club We have started our fourth year of the Concord Ladies Christian Book Club and we are reading our 31st book. The ladies at Concord who like to read are enjoying Christian fiction books. We have a great time at our discussions when we talk about the story, characters, and author. Here are a list of titles, authors, and ratings we have read so far. Feel free to ask us any questions about these books. You can tell, by the ratings we’ve given, which ones we recommend (5 stars is the highest). The book club members are: Sandy Van Horn, Sue Harvey, Linda Gaskin, Brenda Williams, Debbie Cason, Tricia Richey, Shirley Wright, Brenda Wright, Betty Richey, and Juanita Ellis. Charade by Gilbert Morris 5 stars • Anything Gilbert Morris writes you can’t go wrong. He is a wonderful author and several of our readers have enjoyed many of his books. Song of Redemption by Lynn Austin 5 stars • We recommend you read all of the books in this series. It is a wonderful look into the scriptures. Even though they are fiction they give you the possibilities of what is not revealed in the scriptures. Unspoken by Angela Hunt 4 stars Crystal Cavern by Hannah Alexander 3 stars The Victory Club by Robin Lee Hatcher 4.5 stars Not A Sparrow Falls by Linda Nichols 5 stars • This is one of the best books we have read. We all enjoyed this so much that we have passed it on to many friends. The Tender Vine by Kristen Heitzmann 3.7 stars • This book reads much better if you read the whole series. This was not the first in this series and we recommend you read them in order. Last Light by Terri Blackstock 4.5 stars • We have read all the books in this series and are anxiously waiting for the next one. Night Light by Terri Blackstock 4.5 stars True Light by Terri Blackstock 4.9 stars Seaside by Terri Blackstock 4.7 stars Beneath the Dakota Cross by Stephen Bly 2.9 stars • As you can see that we didn’t like this one. We mostly didn’t like his writing style here. I have read some of his newer books which I found more entertaining. Grace at Low Tide by Beth Webb Hart 3.5 stars The Brushstroke Legacy by Lauraine Snelling 4.6 stars The Good Nearby by Nancy Moser 5 stars • This story can help you see and want to be “the good nearby.” Abraham’s Well by Sharon Ewell Foster 3.5 stars Freefall by Kristen Heitzmann 3.7 stars • This was one book of Kristen Heitzmann that we have been disappointed. The Watchers by Mark Andrew Olsen 3.7 stars Quaker Summer by Lisa Samson 4 stars Fair Game by Elizabeth White 4 stars Courting Trouble by Deeanne Gist 4 stars The Jewel in the Crown by Frank Simon 3.4 stars Heart of a Lion by Gilbert Morris 4 stars No Woman So Fair by Gilbert Morris 4 stars Embrace The Dawn by Kathleen Morgan 4.2 stars The Will of Wisteria by Denise Heldreth 4.9 stars Proper Pursuit by Lynn Austin 4.2 stars Dawn’s Light by Terri Blackstock 5 stars One More Sunrise by Michael Landon,II 4.4 stars & Tracy Peterson Deeper Water by Robert Whitlow 4.5 stars Twice Loved by Lori Copeland There are many books that several of us in the book club have read but not as a club.
